2013 was a very busy year for Susan Knott Photography. It seems that, if we weren't taking the photos, we were editing them or talking with clients about their upcoming session or wedding event! Lots of fun and we've met so many great friends! Thank you for a great year!

We photographed the Rivers family in East Greenbush this summer, and the star of the show was baby Aliah!

Marina & James were married in St. Anthony's church in downtown Schenectady, and celebrated at the Stockade Inn.  They paused for a few moments for a photo in their honeymoon suite, before they kicked us out!!

Here's Christina, at the Mallozzi's Belvedere Hotel.  She and Vinnie were married soon after at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany, NY, then returned to Mallozzi's for their wedding reception!

Claire & Zach become parents this year to Emmett.  Emmett invited us in, shortly after he was born to take this first official family portrait!

We caught Abby with such a cute smile, as we were preparing for her family portrait session in Congress Park, Saratoga, NY

Definitely a first for us!  A double wedding of two beautiful sisters--Chris, (right) lives locally and Tiffany from Puerto Rico.  The timing couldn't have been better this summer.  Chris and Hextor were getting married, and rather than just attend, Tiffany and Javier decided to tie the knot too and make it an extra special family occasion at Treviso, in the Italian American Community Center.

Doesn't Vinnie look comfortable?  Parents, Diana & TJ wanted to incorporate this clay pot in the photo somehow.  So we figured it out--we put him IN it! 

Christina & Vinnie's family and friends really threw them a fun wedding celebration at Mallozzi's!  They all paused for a moment for this shot from the DJ platform.

Todd and Amy were expecting Cooper in September, so toward the end of summer we traveled to Yaddo Gardens in Saratoga for a maternity session.

Tricia & Dan were married this fall at an intimate family and friend get together along the Mohawk River at Dan's parents' house.  Tricia's attendants couldn't wait to shower them with rose petals!

We met Chris this summer to take his Ichabod Crane Senior Portrait near the train station in Stuyvesant, NY.

Anxhela is a beautiful bride here getting ready upstairs at the Franklin Plaza Ballroom in Troy, NY.  She and Jordan were married in the Ballroom amongst a large gathering of family and friends.

It was our pleasure to meet Sarah & Jason, shoot their engagement session, then their wedding….and their newborn Brynlee.  Happy family!

Anxhela & Jordan were married in October at the Franklin Plaza Ballroom, Troy.

Here's Rosey and Luis who will be married in 2014!  Since they met in high school several years ago…that's where they wanted their engagement portraits to be taken.  Keep watching to see which school!

Yes!  It was Schenectady High School where Luis & Rosey met, and wanted to have their engagement session right there in classrooms, the hallway and near the football field.  We did travel over to Jay Street too for a few romantic portraits.

One more from Alexandria's senior portrait session.  Relax folks, she's a professional.  Alexandria has been a member of the Galway Junior Rifle team since she was twelve. She shoots a .22 caliber target rifle, as well as an air rifle and participated in a recent Junior Olympics. While she didn't want the rifle in her senior photos, it was important to her to have it as part of her photo session.

Christina & Vinnie were married on Friday night, October 11th.  They've had their wedding photography proofs and we've created their awesome wedding book, but it's time to get more of their photos on the Susan Knott Photography blog!

Our first session with them was last October on Lake George, starting at Vinnie's parents' home.

But now, we jump ahead about 12 months. First we meet them as they are getting ready, then the Wedding Ceremony at Blessed Sacrament in Albany, and on to work with the pros at Mallozzi's in Schenectady for the wedding celebration!  It was also great to work with our friends, Greg & Ellie of Digital Memories Video.

Wedding Photography When you book Susan Knott Photography for your wedding, you always get two wedding photographers!  I went with Christina & the ladies as they got ready, and Jon met Vinnie and the guys. Then we're both working together at the wedding ceremony.
