Susan Knott Photography was amazing! My wedding was 9/22/17 at Glen Sanders Mansion. Susan Knott and her husband Jon were so incredible through the entire process. We found them online and called them; they were easy to work with to meet at their home to discuss package options. At the time I lived in Binghamton and was driving to Albany on weekends to plan the wedding. They worked with us and our availability. We had our engagement photos at a rose park but on a day that was gray and gloomy, however their pictures made the day look sunny and happy. Then the day before the wedding they came to the rehearsal to tell us what to expect and how to walk and stop. Plus what pose or place to put us to get the best picture. On our wedding day, I was nervous and excited waiting to get married. Once I saw Susan and Jon I instantly felt comfortable and calm. My family and friends loved them. They made pictures fun, easy, and quick. Once the pictures were developed and finished, my husband and I couldn’t get over how wonderful they were. The pictures recreated our day perfectly! Albany Wedding Photographers | Should we do a first look at our Wedding?We are often asked by couples if they should do a first look at their wedding. We certainly will work with you regardless of your choice, whether it's the traditional walk down the aisle, or it's a first look before the ceremony. We prefer a first look. Many of our couples have made this choice and are happy for it. The traditional way, the groom sees the bride for the first time at a distance. At a first look, the couple can have that moment strictly private if they want, but it's close and personal. They can see each other for the first time on a day that both of you are dressed to perfection! You can admire each other and say whatever they want. Albany Wedding Photographers with Meghan & Brad at Christ the King Church & Appel InnMeghan & Brad's wedding day started out a bit on the damp side, but dried out considerably as the day went on. When we wanted to do the important things, like the First Look and some group photos outside the church, mother nature was more kind! Their friends and family all gathered at the magnificent Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Guilderland for a beautiful ceremony. Then everyone travelled to Altamont for the wedding reception at The Appel Inn. Laurie and the team did an amazing job as always and DJ Todd Moffre kept the party going all evening long. In fact, they were introduced by Sara's cousin Ryan, who married them! Charles had not yet made the move to the Albany area, but we met them over the summer during one of his visits. In fact, Charles called me from Iowa to talk wedding photography. (That was one of his tasks for wedding planning!) Charles finally made his way to the area a few months later and we were able to shoot their Engagement session and get to know them better.
